Fat Freddy’s Drop: The Nod

While one song can hardly summarise the level of musicianship in this band, I find the subtle fusion of classic funk/soul, dub, and an almost Dixieland jazz vibe in Fat Freddy’s Drop’s The Nod demonstrates the depth achievable in a modern funk sound.
Funk itself is an amalgamation of various styles, and the possibilties within it are boundless.
